We’re PUBLIC!

We’re releasing TripSay to public today! Almost two years of hard work and lots of beta testing and we’re ready to go public. After today, you no longer need an invite to join the service. Anyone can join and start discovering and sharing interesting places to go to. We’re all very happy and excited to see how it all works out now we have opened the doors to everyone. We’ve done a lot of work and testing to make the user experience as good as possible and we hope you like it as much we do.

The site is by no means complete and we have a ton of ideas how to make it even more usable, which we start to work on after the launch. We also welcome your ideas and feedback, they are very much appreciated.

So go ahead, join in at http://www.tripsay.com and start discovering!

Hey guys, congratulations and welcome to the wild! A couple of questions for you… I’m just curious:

    1) Two years? It sounds like a lot of time to me. Did you guys have any issues that came up that might have delayed your original plans (that you can/want to share)? Or any other reason for it?

    2) Any marketing tips. You guys were on techCrunch 3 times or something (besides the fact that you know Erick)?

Anyway, site looks great. Looking forward to seeing where it will go.

    Hi Felipe,

    1) No real problems or anything like that. Just a lot of work to do. Of course we got the first version finished much earlier but decided to build the product much further before going public. All the things done in the backend like the recommendation engine and natural language processing that aren’t necessarily instantly visible to the users caused a lot of work for us.

    2) Use a good PR agency. :) We hired a very good agency that understands our service and knows the industry. They have helped us tremendously.
